In the framework of the first official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ambassador of Sri Lanka Prof. M.D.Lamawansa and the Embassy delegation including 1st Secretary Ms. Nirosha Herath paid a courtesy call on the Director of the National Information Analitical Center for Drug Control under the Cabinet of Ministers Mr. O. Narzullaev. The meeting took place in the office of NCDC in Tashkent and was also attended by the Head of the International Cooperation Department and leading experts of the Center.

During the meeting the parties discussed the potential areas for interaction and possibilities to enhance the bilateral cooperation in different formats by sharing relevant information and exchanging best practices in counterring illegal drug trafficking, rehabilitation and prevention of drug addiction.
Both sides expressed readines to expand collaboration in the areas of mutual interest.
