The Embassy delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Prof. M.D. Lamawansa held a meeting at the Chamber of International Commerce in Kazakhstan on June 11, 2021.

During the meeting, the parties discussed matters pertaining to cooperation in trade, economy and tourism spheres. The areas for linking business circles of Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan were also discussed.
The Ambassador noted the bilateral relations of Sri Lanka with Kazakhstan, emphasized the potential areas for expanding cooperation, including possibities of exporting tea, exotic fruit, spices, fish, coconut products, gems and rubber and importing cotton, weat etc.
