On 28th December 2021, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation H.E. Prof. Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage paid a courtesy call on Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation, a veteran diplomat H.E. Shri Pavan Kapoor.

During the meeting, the Heads of Missions discussed the vaccination programme and matters pertaining to pandemic control management. The Ambassadors have exchanged views on the multifaceted relations with the host-country and other areas of common interest.
