H.E. Dr. Saman Weerasinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka met Prof. Aleksander V. Rozhdestvenskiy, Acting Rector of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI), on 10th November 2015. Moscow Aviation Institute was founded in 1930 to train qualified personnel for the aviation industry. Since its founding, MAI has trained more than 160,000 professionals including several Sri Lankans in aviation, space science, and industry.

Ambassador Dr. Weerasinghe discussed with Prof. Aleksander V. Rozhdestvenskiy about the possibility of increasing scholarships for Sri Lankan students to undertake studies at the Institute in future.
