On 25 November, 2015, H.E. Dr. Saman Weerasinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia, met Mr. Igor Bryntsalov, Chairman of the Regional Duma of the Moscow City. The Moscow City Duma is the Russian Regional parliament in the city of Moscow.

Ambassador and Mr. Igor Bryntsalov discussed cooperation of the two countries in the educational, economic and tourism spheres.
