On November 10, 2022 the Russian delegation including Secretary General of Russian Association for International Cooperation, Vice-President of Russia – Sri Lanka Friendship Society Mr. Vladimir Polozkov and Chairman of the Board of Russia-Sri Lanka Friendship Society, big investor and entrepreneur, TOP-5 developer in the Russian Federation Mr. Pyotr Ryzhkov called on Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at the Prime Minister's Office in Parliament.

During the meeting, the potential areas for cooperation including large-scale investment opportunities in Sri Lanka in the fields of industries, ports and shipping were discussed.
The Prime Minister welcomed the delegation commenting on the long-standing friendship and diplomatic relations enjoyed by the two countries.
Hon. Minister Ramesh Pathirana, Sri Lankan Ambassador in Moscow Prof. Janitha Liyanage and Secretary to the Prime Minister Mr. Anura Dissanayake were also present at the occasion.
