Sri Lankan delegation including Hon. Susil Premajayanth, Special representative of the President of Sri Lanka, Minister of Education, Hon. Nalin Fernando, Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security of Sri Lanka, and H.E. Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia continued a series of high-level meetings in Russia. In particular, there were the meetings with the Co-Chair of the Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC) H.E. Mr. Shestakov, Rector of RUDN university, President of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Secretary General of Russian Association of International Cooperation.

► Meeting with the Co-Chair of the Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC) H.E. Mr. Shestakov took place on October 12, 2022. The parties discussed the possible agenda and the dates for the next Session of IGC.

► Meeting with the Rector of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) The delegation was received by the Rector Mr. Yastrebov Oleg Aleksandrovich.
Possibility of opening a RUDN branch and opening of a Center of the Russian language on the basis of one of the SL Universities, which has a linguistic faculty (Colombo or Kelaniya) were raised. Particular interest was given to Double degrees and RUDN Summer school in different areas (medicine, mathematics, agriculture, ecology, engineering etc.) to be available for Sri Lankan students as well as a digital faculty for teaching Russian language.
► H.E. the Ambassador Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage and the delegation met the President of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry H.E. Sergey Katyrin to discuss exchange of business delegations, participation of Sri Lankan delegations in the international exhibitions and fairs held in Moscow, introduction of Sri Lankan products to the regions of Russia.

► Meeting with Secretary General of Russian Association of International Cooperation Mr. Vladimir Polozkov to discuss public diplomacy projects for cooperation enhancement.
