On 12th December 2022 H.E. the Ambassador conducted a fruitful meeting between the Sri Lanka tyres manufacturing plant Ferentino Tyre Corporation and Russia's top manufacturer of commercial vehicles "GAZ", producing light and medium-duty commercial vehicles, buses, engines and over 500 types of special vehicles.

Group of companies GAZ is the №1 manufacturer of commercial vehicles in Russia exporting to 40 countries and one of the leading manufacturer in Europe in LCV segment.
The Russian plant expressed its interest in cooperation, taking into account the lack of rubber products in the Russian market in connection with the recent geopolitical situation.
In the result the parties have agreed to proceed with the commercial offer following by the order for the first shipment.
This partnership can bring a great inflow of the foreign exchange in case of successful samples trial and competitiveness of the offer.
