On December 15, 2022, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation H.E. Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage took part in "Our World – XXI century" International Forum for Economic and Cultural Cooperation as a Guest of Honour.

H.E. Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage was also invited to be a speaker at the "Time to be together" Round table discussion. H.E. the Ambassador spoke about the strong long-lasting friendly relationship between Sri Lanka and Russia. The Ambassador emphasized the new opportunities, which open in this challenging time for further development and enhancement of cooperation in trade, tourism, education etc. areas.

Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage was awarded for her invaluable contribution to strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Sri Lanka and Russia. The Ambassador gave an interview to media representatives on tourism and trade potential of Sri Lanka.

The official part of the 2-day Forum was followed by a charity concert and buffet.
