In the framework of the visit of the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine (GWUIM) to Russia, on 27 April 2023 the delegation visited the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN).

Prof. Ranjana Seneviratne, Vice Chancellor of the GWUIM, and Dr. Asanka Pallewatta, Director of International Center (GWIC), were warmly greeted by Ms. Natalia Vladimirovna Syulkova, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Dr. Alexey Yuryevich Abramov, Director of the Medical Institute, and other representatives of the RUDN.
The sides discussed the possible directions of implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two Universities in 2022, such as mutual participation in conferences, examination of curriculums, student exchange in the framework of summer schools, organization of online guest lectures, etc. The sides agreed to draft a working programme to continue cooperation.
