On June 7, 2023, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow took part in the Eurasian Fashion Investment Forum, representing the apparel sector of Sri Lanka, where representatives of Bangladesh, India, Turkey, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, China and other countries were also present.

Promising projects in the field of fashion retail and fashion business, as well as potential investors who are ready to invest in the development of Russian and international brands, gathered on one platform. This Forum is the only large-scale project in Russia in the field of light industry, connecting factories with potential customers - brands, retailers, design bureaus and corporate clients.
On the sidelines of the forum, Mr. Chamila Jayarathna, Minister/Education & Economic Affairs of the Embassy conducted a fruitful meeting with the Head of the Russian Association of the Fashion Industry, discussing further bilateral cooperation in the apparel sector.
