On December 25, 2023 Ambassador H.E. Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage attended the reception at the Bolshoi Theatre at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Sergey Lavrov, which traditionally hosts an annual festive seasonal reception at the Bolshoi for Heads of Missions. This year it was an Anniversary concert of the Berezka State Academic Choreographic Ensemble named after Nadezhdina.

The programme commenced with address by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov. Ambassador of Sri Lanka H.E. Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage and Foreign Minister H.E. Sergey Lavrov exchanged greetings. The speech of Foreign Minister was followed by a cocktail reception at the Beethoven Hall and a wonderful performance.
