On January 18, 2024 H.E. the Ambassador Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage received Agency for creative industries. The Agency was established in 2020 by the Moscow Government in order to support and develop creative businesses. The Agency was represented by Ms. Ekaterina Vilchikova, Head of the directorate for the international cooperation, and Ms.Marta Bocharnikova, Head of the Department for large scale industry projects implementation.

The sides expressed interest for interaction and discussed opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in the spheres of Fashion Industry, Film and Animation Production, Education etc. The Agency invited Sri Lanka to actively participate in the international events scheduled to be held in Moscow within 2024, such as BRICS+ Fashion Summit, MOSCOW FEST, Material Center, and others.
