The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka organized a familiarization tour for the Heads of Moscow Hospitals and Policlinics undergoing MPA programme Healthcare Management in the Moscow Government University from 11th to 18th February 2024.

This is the second team of delegates received by the Ministry of Health, under the supervision of Dr. Sunil De Alvis, Additional Secretary (Medical Services) of the Ministry of Health. The group comprising of 14 delegates were facilitated within the whole period of their stay in Colombo and Kandy.
In the framework of the tour, the delegation visited several government, private and military hospitals, specialized hospitals, such as dental and rehabilitation. Apart from that, the Ministry conducted a lecture on the Healthcare System of Sri Lanka for the doctors. While in Kandy, they were able to get acquainted with the functioning of the Provincial Department of Health Services.
The leader of the group from the Moscow Government University was Mr. Konstantin Tsaranov, Head of the Department for the Development of Sectoral Educational Programs of the University, following the visit noted that the programme proved to be informative for the delegation, and they were able to gain experiences from their Sri Lankan colleagues. The delegation expressed gratitude to the organizers for the professional organization of the visit.
