Hon. A. Aravindh Kumar, State Minister of Education of Sri Lanka, took part in the II International Forum of Ministers of Education Shaping the Future, in Kazan, Russia, 09 – 12 June 2024. The Forum United more than 150 delegates from 40 countries of CIS, Latin America, Africa and Asia to discuss industry problems, exchange experience and identify areas for cooperation.

In the course of the visit, Hon. State Minister participated in plenary sessions and held a meeting with Mr. D. E. Gribov, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, in the course of which the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the sphere of school and vocational education, namely, the increase of Russian state quotas for Sri Lankan students, establishment of further training programmes for Sri Lankan specialists, including Russian language teachers.
