Ambassador P. M. Amza headed an introductory online meeting between the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and the Russian State University of Land Use Planning, which took place on 25 July 2024.

The meeting was also graced by Prof. M. Sunil Shantha, Vice Chancellor of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and Mr. Timur Papaskiri, Acting Rector of the Russian State University of Land Use Planning, as well as other staff members of both Universities.
The sides made presentations of the two Universities and highlighted the interest for cooperation in joint research and development, exchange of experience, summer/winter schools, joint courses, student and staff mobility, etc.
The Universities underlined the proximity of the spheres of research and interests and agreed to continue collaboration in prospective directions for the benefit of the educational systems of both countries.
