On 26 August 2024 Ambassador P.M. Amza, Head of the Sri Lankan Mission in the Russian Federation took part in the Plenary Session, the key event of the Moscow International Film Week 2024, at the invitation of Moscow Government.

The Plenary Session was opened by Mr. Alexey Fursin, Minister of Culture of Moscow Government, and gathered creative industries specialists from more than 40 countries. High-level officials in charge of culture and creative economy from India, Brazil, Iran, Nicaragua, Panama, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kyrgyztan were the main panelists discussing future of the creative industries, including scenic arts, visual arts, design, culinary arts, innovation and technology, media, heritage and tourism. The participants shared the best practices and experience of their countries and contribution of the creative industries to the countries' respective economies.
