Ministry of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine of Sri Lanka is focusing on improvement of the quality of health care delivery and also keen to introduce new technological advancement in the field of medicine in the context of increasing non communicable diseases including heart disease, stroke and cancers.
In this regards Hon. Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine Rajitha Senarathne met Dr. Saroj Sinh , Director of Dina International – Russia on 20th April, 2016 at the Ministry premises to discuss about the Russian proposal of construction of a 500 beded modular type hospital in the territory of Sri Lanka.
This vast investment project for construction of a modular type hospital is a proposal of Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation Dr. Saman Weerasinghe.
Dr. P.G. Mahipala, Director General of Health Services of Ministry of Health, Dr. Mohamed Rumie, and Managing Director of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation of Sri Lanka also participated this meeting together with Ambassador of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation Dr. Saman Weerasinghe
