Head of Sri Lanka Mission in Moscow, Ambassador P.M. Amza participated in the Network Eurasian Route Development Forum as the key speaker at the Plenary Session.
The two-day Forum commenced on the 16th September witnessed the gathering of representatives of diplomatic corps, federal transport authorities, industry experts, tour operators and travel agencies, airlines and airports from Asia, Africa, Europe, Middle East, South & Central Americas.
Ambassador P.M. Amza delivered a presentation on "Development of Tourist Aviation Services from Eurasia to Sri Lanka," revealing the historical background, tourist attractions and new opportunities.
As part of the programme, the Sri Lankan delegation had networking sessions with the Sheremetyevo International Airport, the busiest airport of Russia and other tourism related companies to discuss opportunities for the future cooperation. Mr. Chamila Jayarathna, Minister of the Embassy and Ms. Sasika Jayaweera, Assistant Director, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau were also present at the meetings.
