Ambassador P.M. Amza addressed the Forum on Public Diplomacy: Partnership for Peace and Harmony organized on 23 September 2024 by Eurasian & African Peoples 'Assembly on occasion of the International Peace Day.

"Sri Lanka was instrumental in adopting the resolution declaring of Indian Ocean as a Peace Zone in the year 1971" said Ambassador Amza during his remarks.
The event took place in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, public authorities, scientific community and cultural figures.
