On October 03, 2024, Ambassador P.M. Amza, Head of Sri Lankan Mission in the Russian Federation met with Minister Sergey Cheremin, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations.

During the discussion, Ambassador P. M. Amza and Minister S. Cheremin focused on the areas of common interest including trade, economic, tourism, culture and education.
From the Embassy side, the meeting was also attended by Ms. Ruvini K. Munidasa, Deputy Chief of Mission. The Moscow Government was represented by Dr. George Zraikat, Adviser to the Minister, Mr. Viacheslav Manuylov, Deputy Head of the Departmentfor External Economic and International Relations, Ms. Anastasia Sibileva, Head of the International Relations Division and Ms. Milena Sidorova, Chief Specialist of the International Relations Division.
