Volga Sabara

Following signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Volga Institute of Administration (branch of RANEPA) and Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, on 24 October 2024 the sides held an online working-level meeting.

The meeting was facilitated by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow, which was represented by Mr. Chamila Jayarathna, Minister (Education), while the Volga Institute of Administration was represented by Professor Svetlana Fedyunina, Head of the Department of Social Communications and other staff of the University and the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka was represented by Prof. Athula Gnanapala, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and other staff of the University.
In the course of extensive discussion, the sides identified the areas to embark upon practical collaboration, in particular: joint participation in conferences, making joint publications, performing mobility of teachers and students through online short-term courses, conducting summer schools, participating in collaborative research grants etc. The sides would continue cooperation to establish stable ties.
