On November 4-5, 2024 Head of the Sri Lankan Mission in Moscow Ambassador Pakeer Mohideen Amza paid his first visit to Gomel State Medical University, Republic of Belarus.

Ambassador P.M. Amza had a meeting with the Rector of Gomel State Medical University Prof. Igor Stoma. The Head of Sri Lankan Mission also had a substantial discussion with the University Administration, including
Professor V.A. Melnik, Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Associate Professor S.A. Anashkina, Vice-Rector for International Relations, and Associate Professor A.M. Karamyshev, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Students.
Ambassador P.M. Amza had a tour around the University facilities and got acquainted with the conditions of students' education in Gomel State Medical University on the example of the simulation and certification centre and clinical base of the Department of Pediatrics, located in Gomel Regional Children's Clinical Hospital.
