On November 25, 2024, the Head of Sri Lankan Mission in Moscow Ambassador P.M. Amza took part in the presentation of the National Russian State Library at the invitation of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The closed event was attended by senior diplomats from more than 50 embassies representing states from almost all regions of the world, including Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe.
The guests were received by Ms. Elena Podolko, Deputy Director of the State Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and Mr. Vadim Duda, Director General of the Russian State Library.
The national library ranks first in the world in terms of the volume of funds, which have more than 200 million items in 375 languages.
A special tour of ancient and valuable exhibits, including those related to the history and culture of the states, which were presented at the event, was organized for foreign diplomats.
