Officials of Port City Colombo visited Moscow, as a part of an international investment drive for the promotion of the Port City Colombo project - one of the largest Private-Public Partnerships (PPP) in Sri Lanka, aiming to set world-class standards for investments, services, and lifestyle, located strategically at the heart of the South Asian region.
The Embassy facilitated a few key meetings for the officials with the Russia Asia Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, a prominent business support organization, VTB Bank and Sberbank – Russia's leading financial institutions to explore infrastructure financing and investment facilitation opportunities and other flagship platforms facilitating collaboration and engagement among the government, businesses, experts, and other stakeholders, such as Digital Economy and the Russian Environmental Operator.
The visit marks a significant milestone in fostering Sri Lanka – Russia economic diplomacy and underlines Port City Colombo's global vision.
The meetings were attended by Embassy officials, Wang Luyu, Deputy GM, Investment Promotion and Marketing, CHEC Port City Colombo Pvt. Ltd. and Pulitha Roshel, Senior Manager, Investment Promotion and Marketing, CHEC Port City Colombo Pvt. Ltd from Sri Lankan side.
