The third round of consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka and Belarus were held in Minsk on 22 August 2016. The Sri Lankan delegation for the Consultations was headed by Mrs Grace Asirvatam, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka. The Belarusian delegation was headed by Mr Valentin Rybakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the whole range of issues of bilateral relations such as regional cooperation, cooperation in the field of culture and the education, health, science and technology. Special attention was paid to the development of the legal framework of bilateral relations, as well as cooperation within international organizations.
