On October 5, 2016 H. E. Dr. Saman Weerasinghe, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, concurrently accredited to the Republic of Moldova, met with H. E. Dumitru Braghis, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Russian Federation

 During the meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Moscow Heads of both Missions discussed promotion of bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Moldova and further intensified discussions regarding potential technological, cultural and other activities which will be of great contribution to development of both countries.
