On September 19, 2017 marked the beginning of the 23rd International Trade Fair for Travel and Tourism Forum "LEISURE" which will be held at the Expocentre, Moscow until September 21, 2017.

With the support of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation organized a large colorful stand for leading Sri Lankan tour operators to represent their companies at the exhibition with the aim of further promotion of Sri Lanka as a favorable tourist destination on the Russian market.
The opening ceremony of the Sri Lankan stand was led by H. E. Dr. Saman Weerasinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, who was accompanied by the SLTPB representative and the Embassy officials.
The LEISURE 2017 exhibition is one of the central events in the tourism industry in Russia and considered to be an international platform for foreign tour operators and agents to explore the Russian market and promote their destinations.
This is the third time in a row when a Sri Lankan delegation, including representatives of leading Sri Lankan tour operators, takes part in the Leisure Exhibition held in Moscow on an annual basis. The fair has proved to be an efficient way to communicate with Russian tour operators and agents and to establish direct business cooperation.
