A five member delegation headed by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy visited Russia for technical discussions on September 15-19, 2018.

H.E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka was presented a beautiful Air Force memento engraved 'Surakimu Lakambara', by Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy during the dinner hosted by the former Ambassador to Russia, Dr. Saman Weerasinghe, adviser to President Sirisena.
