Minister of Defence of Russia Sergey Shoygu shared his view on the terrorist acts, carried out in Sri Lanka, and offered condolences during his speech at the opening ceremony of the VIII Moscow Conference on International Security.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov also mentioned terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka during his address at the MCIS 2019 opening ceremony.
During his speech at the opening ceremony of the 8th Moscow Conference on International Cooperation, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Dr. Vladimir Norov referred to the terrorist acts in Sri Lanka as evidence of still growing threats "by international terrorist and extremist organizations to the world".
Ministers of Defence of two countries - Iran and Malaysia - expressed condolences for the victims of bomb explosions in Sri Lanka during their addresses at the 2nd plenary session "Outcomes of ISIS defeat in Syria and Iraq: stabilizing the region and addressing terrorist threats in the environment of their transformation" on the margins of the 8th Moscow Conference on International Security.
