On November 30, 2019 H. E. Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, accompanied by Madame Sanja Jayatilleka, visited the 31st annual Winter Bazaar – a charity fundraising event, organized by the International Women's Club of Moscow.
This year the Winter Bazaar gathered hundreds of representatives of Moscow-based Diplomatic Missions of states from all over the world, who were selling traditional products, souvenirs, and food items, peculiar to respective countries. All the proceeds from the event go to several charity projects, managed by the Charity Board of the International Women's Club of Moscow.
Like many other foreign diplomats, officers of the Sri Lankan Diplomatic Mission took part in the event by organizing two stalls – one with traditional souvenirs, Ayurveda cosmetics, and Ceylon tea, and another with traditional Sri Lankan food items.
