On February 11, 2020 the XXV Anniversary International Forum on Security & Safety Technologies started its 3-day run in Moscow. The Forum is recognized as one of the major platforms bringing together leading experts and specialists in the matters of national security.
Ms. Chathurika Perera, Second Secretary (Commercial) of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia participated in the Conference dedicated to Digital Transformation: from a Safe City to a Safe Region at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
The main speakers at the Session and Round Table spoke about the definition of the Smart City for sustainable development, its components and effects. The key participants in the development of the security industry emphasized the importance of information security, internet of things, modern video surveillance with face detection, on-line services literacy and digital hygiene to enhance livability, workability and sustainability in the Smart City.
The Round table discussion was preceded the Tour of the Pavilions with the modern security and safety technologies on display.
The Forum is organized with the support of Anti-Terrorism Center of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Security Council of the Russian Federation, Federal Security Services of the Russian Federation, State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Russian Government, and Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Energy of Russia, other Ministries and various organizations.
