The Sri Lanka Export Development Board in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation and Sri Lanka Tea Board organized Sri Lanka’s participation at the 24th International Food Exhibition ‘World Food 2015’ which is being held from 14–17 September 2015 at Expocentre in Moscow.

Sri Lankan companies representing the Fish & Seafood, Dairy Products, Tea & Coffee and Confectionery sectors take part in the exhibition. The Sri Lanka Stand was inaugurated on 14 September 2015 by H.E. Dr Saman Weerasinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, Ms. Malkanthi Welikala, Assistant Director, Sri Lanka Export Development Board and representatives of participating companies.

It is the first time that Sri Lanka is represented in the Fish & Seafood sector of this annual Exhibition, where 5 Sri Lankan companies display Fish & Seafood products of Sri Lanka.

While Global Seafoods Pvt Ltd, Jey Sea Foods Processing Pvt Ltd, Lihini Seafoods Pvt Ltd, Tess Agro Limited, Tropic Frozen Foods Pvt Ltd represent Fish and Seafood Sector CBL Natural Foods Pvt Ltd, Ceylon Biscuits Limited, Hero Nature Products Pvt Ltd, Link Natural Products Pvt Ltd, Lucky Lanka Milk Processing Co Ltd, Ruhunu Foods Pvt Ltd , Sinbad Pvt Ltd, Ceylon Tenny Tea (Pvt) Ltd, Femrich Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Sunshine Tea (Pvt) Ltd and Unitea represent the other sectors.
