In the midst of the most serious challenge to public health systems and economies we have faced in the XXI century, medical doctors and healthcare workers unite their efforts to find a solution to the crisis. While the borders are closed and people are encouraged to stay in their homes, scientists, medical doctors, and healthcare workers are, on the contrary, building more links with their colleagues, expanding the geography of their contacts with the help of modern technologies. The virus has crossed all borders, and our solidarity and cooperation has to do the same to control it.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation Prof. M.D. Lamawansa presented his letters of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Kamilov on 21 of December 2020. The official ceremony took place at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow and gathered 12 Ambassadors representing different countries.

An official delegation from the Sri Lankan Embassy in Moscow, Russian Federation, with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Belarus made an official visit to Belarus since H.E. Prof. M. D. Lamawansa assumed duties as the Ambassador to Russia in May 2020.
