Sri Lanka represented at the 02nd International Forum “Development of Parliamentarism”, held in Moscow, Russia (July 01-03, 2019)
A Sri Lankan parliamentary delegation, headed by Hon. Arjuna Ranatunga, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation and comprising Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, MP, and Mr. Dhammika Dassanayake, Secretary-General of Parliament participated in the 2nd International Forum "Development of Parliamentarism", which was held on 01 – 03 July, 2019 in Moscow, Russia.
The forum was also attended by Hon. Pavithra Wanniarachchi, MP, Hon. Namal Rajapaksa, MP, Hon. Kanchana Wijesekara, MP and Hon. Kanchana Jayaratna, Chairman of Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council.

Sri Lankan Parliamentary delegation on official visit to Moscow
On July 1-2, 2019 the 2nd International Forum "Development of Parliamentarism" was held in Moscow on the initiative of the Russian State Duma. The Forum brought together representatives of more than 130 countries - over 800 parliamentarians & experts who stressed the role of parliaments in solving global problems.

Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka received representatives of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry including Mr. Sergey Vasiliev, Deputy Chairman of Committee for Economic Cooperation with Countries of Asia and Oceania & Business Council for Cooperation with Pakistan, Mr. Vasiliy Vasiliev, Executive Secretary of Committee for Economic Cooperation with Countries of Asia and Oceania of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Ms. Olga Khlybova, General Director of EXPOTECHTOUR, and Mr. Sergey Gavrikov, Representative of Imperial Teas (Pvt) Ltd, to discuss the activities that Committee has planned to enhance the bilateral trade relations between Russia and Sri Lanka.
