Celebration of the 69th Anniversary of the Independence Day of Sri Lanka in Moscow
Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow commemorated 69th Anniversary of the Independence Day of Sri Lanka on 4th February 2017 at the Chancery with the hoisting of the national flag by Ambassador Dr. Saman Weerasinghe and singing the national anthem in Sinhala and Tamil followed by two minute silence observed in honour of all the national heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the country.

MoU signed between the National Institute of Labour Studies of Sri Lanka & the Academy of Labour and Social Relations of Russia
On January 26, 2017 the delegation from the National Institute of Labour Studies under the Ministry of Labour and Trade Union Relations of Sri Lanka visited the Academy of Labour and Social Relations of the Russian Federation to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.
