Ambassador Jayatilleka attends Trialogue Club presentation on Cyber Threat
On December 4, Ambassador Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka accompanied by Madame Sanja Jayatilleka attended a meeting at Trialogue Club International, a meeting place of the Russian and foreign diplomats, politicians and experts for discussions on foreign and security policy. It was the last event of the Club for this year. The Club will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year.

Hon. Sergei Shoigu, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation sent a congratulatory letter to Hon. Lakshman Senewiratne on the latter's appointment as the State Minister of Defence of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. A similar note was forwarded by Hon. Col. Gen. A. Fomin, Deputy Minister of Defence of Russia to Mr. Hemasiri Fernando, Sri Lankan Secretary of Defence.

On November 15th Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the Russian Federation Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka made his first visit to the Russian Parliament, starting from its highest international relations authority – H. E. Dr. Constantin I. Kosachev, Ambassador and Chair of Committee for International Affairs at the Federation Council, the upper chamber of the Federal Assembly – the official name of the Russian Parliament.
