The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow celebrated Vesak festival on 21st May 2016 at the Embassy premises with the participation of several Buddhist monks, Ambassador Dr. Saman Weerasinghe with the Embassy staff and their families, Sri Lankan community and students in Moscow, media personnel and other devotees.

Ambassador Dr. Saman Weerasinghe hosted a reception at his official residence to bid farewell to Defense Attaché of the Embassy Air Commodore Ravindra Liyanagame on 12th May, 2016. More than 50 Russian and foreign guests attended this reception.
