Ambassador Jayatilleka attends the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China and establishment of the Russian-Chinese diplomatic relations in Moscow
On September 30, 2019 Ambassador Dayan Jayatilleka and Madame Sanja Jayatilleka attended the reception dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the People's Republic of China and the 70th anniversary of establishment of the Russian-Chinese diplomatic relations. The Reception was hosted by the newly appointed Ambassador of China to the Russian Federation H.E. Chzhan Hanhuei and gathered representatives of the Russian State Duma and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, political figures and military officials, Russian State authorities and Heads of Foreign Missions to Russia. Deputy Foreign Minister Hon. Igor V. Morgulov, and the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) Gennady Zyuganov were present at the event.

On September 25, 2019 Ambassador Jayatilleka and Madame Sanja Jayatilleka attended the Gala Dinner organized by the Sri Lankan Tea Board to inaugurate the Ceylon Tea Global promotion campaign in Moscow. A large number of guests including high ranking Government Officials, members of the Trade Sector in Moscow, friends and well-wishers of Sri Lanka, media representatives and Sri Lankan nationals were present at the Reception.

Auditor General of Sri Lanka attends the 23rd Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions in Moscow
On September 25th President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin addressed the Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (XXIII INCOSAI), being held in Moscow for the first time in the history of the Organization. The event is attended by more than 600 delegates, representing 168 audit institutions from all over the world, who gathered to exchange opinions on the value of information technology for the development of public administration and the role of the Supreme Audit Institutions in the achievement of national priorities and goals.
This year Sri Lanka is represented at the XXIII INCOSAI at the highest level by Auditor General of Sri Lanka, Mr. W. P. C. Wickramaratne and Deputy Auditor General, Mr. P. L. K. Perera.
