Ambassador Janitha A. Liyanage received Foreign Secretary Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage and delegation, who were in Russia to attend the Bilateral Political Consultations at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow on 07th October 2021. Addressing the staff , the Foreign Secretary while outlining the policy directives of the Foreign Ministry and the GoSL, requested the Embassy to prioritize Economic Diplomacy activities.

The newly appointed Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to Russia, Prof. Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage assumed duties as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia at a simple ceremony held at the Embassy on 04th October 2021.

 

 

This refers to the bid documents related to the appointment of Destination Representation and Public Relations Companies for the Global Communication Campaign.
The addendum  was issued for the bid Documents with relaxed Eligibility Criteria and an extended deadline for bid submission till 8th November 2021. 

Tea Promotion Unit (TPU) of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia with the support of the Sri Lanka Tea Board participated at the 30th Jubilee exhibition of food products "World Food Moscow 2021", which took place at the IEC "Crocus Expo" from 21st to 24th September 2021. Together with the Embassy, Ceylon Tea Land Pvt Ltd. and Kaushalya Tea Export Company also took part in the exhibition.

Lance Corporal Sajeewa Nuwan Kumara of the Sri Lankan Army fought his way to the bronze medal in the light fly weight (49kg) class while LAC Gayani Nisansala Kaluarachchilage of SLAF created history becoming the first Sri Lankan woman pugilist to win a bronze medal in the Middle weight category (75kg) at the 58th World Military Championships.
