On 8th October 2024, Ambassador P.M. Amza, the Head of the Sri Lankan Mission in the Russian Federation, participated in the Russian Environmental Forum. Ambassador P.M. Amza was one of the key speakers at the main Plenary Session called: «5 Years of the Future: focus on ecology and green investment».

On October 03, 2024, Ambassador P.M. Amza, Head of Sri Lankan Mission in the Russian Federation met with Minister Sergey Cheremin, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations.

Pushkin

As part of the state assignment of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Chuvash State Pedagogical University held an international competition for artistic reading of A. S. Pushkin's poems in Russian for citizens of Sri Lanka. It was attended by the students of the University of Kelaniya, the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine and students of the Helena Wijayawardhana Balika Vidyalaya in Kelaniya. A total of 94 applications were submitted, 24 participants became award winners.

BurFollowing the visit of Ambassador P. M. Amza to the Republic of Buryatia in August this year, on 24 September 2024 the Embassy conducted an online meeting between Universities of Sri Lanka and Buryatia.
