23 March 2021, the Embassy held an online Inaugural meeting on Introduction of Russian Language to Sri Lankan Schools and Training of English Teachers in Russian Schools, which gathered a number of high-level officials from both Sri Lankan and Russian sides. This meeting became another step in the Embassy cooperation with the Moscow School No. 1250.

Following the government's decision to implement the Strategic Development Project Act, Pharmaceutical industry has been selected as one of the thrust industries to develop in order to bring down foreign direct investments to the country by establishing the special pharmaceutical zone in Hambantota. In line with the proposal of attracting the top most companies in the world to invest in this zone, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow organized an online meeting with the participation of Board of Investment, State Pharmaceutical Cooperation of Sri Lanka, Belarus Chamber of Commerce and top pharmaceutical companies of the Republic of Belarus on 19 March 2021. Mr. Mohamed Anas, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy, moderated the meeting.

The 8th edition of "Coffee, Tea, Cacao Russian Expo-2021" started on March 11, 2021 at Music Media Dome in Moscow and lasted for three days till March 13, 2021. This year Coffee, Tea, Cacao Russian Expo-2021 brought together 170 companies which were exclusively for Coffee, Tea and Cacao. The Ceylon Tea stand was officially opened by H.E. Prof. M.D. Lamawansa, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, along with Mr. Mohamed Anas, Minister Counsellor, Mr. Tishan de Silva, Third Secretary (Tea Promotion) and Sri Lankan embassy staff.
