In the course of her official visit to Russia, on 30 May 2024 Dr. Seetha Arambepola, Hon. State Minister of Health of Sri Lanka, visited the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, the oldest medical university in Russia, which has been providing higher education to students from Sri Lanka since 1980.

At the invitation of the Kursk State Medical University (KSMU), Dr. Seetha Arambepola, Hon. State Minister of Health of Sri Lanka took part in the First Meeting of the Russian-Sri Lankan Universities Association of Medical and Allied Sciences on 03 June 2024.

Ambassador Amza received at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow, Hon. Dr. Seetha Arambepola, State Minister of Health of Sri Lanka who is on an official visit to the Russian Federation.

New Ambassador

Ambassador P. M. Amza assumed duties as the Head of Mission of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation on 03 June 2024 at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow. Mr. Amza who is a retired senior Foreign Service Officer has an illustrious career ranging three decades.

V1The staff of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow celebrated the Vesak festival on the eve of 23 May 2024 by offering buddha Pooja at the Buddha shrine at the Embassy. The Embassy premises was decorated with colourful display of Vesak lanterns, lights and Buddhist flags as part of the celebration of the birth, enlightenment and the parinirvana of Lord Gauthama Buddha.
