At the invitation of the Moscow State University, four Sri Lankan students took part in the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, which took place from 20 to 27 April 2024 on the platform of the MSU-BIT University in Shenzhen, China.

Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia, accompanied by Mr. Chamila Jayarathna, Minister of the Embassy, paid a visit to the Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University (MADI) on 25 April 2024.

In line with the visit of Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia, a Cultural Exhibition Tales of Sri Lanka was opened in the city of Cheboksary on 27 March 2024 on the platform of the Museum of Chuvash Embroidery.

In memory of the victims of the horrifying act of terror in the Crocus City Hall, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow laid flowers at an improvised memorial at the site of the tragedy on March 30, 2024. More than 130 diplomatic missions took part in the mourning ceremony.
Our hearts and thoughts are with the relatives and friends of the victims, and our prayers are for the speedy recovery of the injured.
