Ambassador P. M. Amza had a fruitful meeting with Dr. Oleg Yastrebov - Rector of Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN).

On the margins of the INNOPROM International Industrial Fair held in Yekaterinburg, Ambassador P.M. Amza had a meeting with the Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex of the Sverdlovsk Region Ms. Anna Kuznetsova. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations Ms. Lyudmila Berg and Hony. Consul of Sri Lanka Mr. Vladimir Smirnov.

On July 09, 2024, Ambassador P.M. Amza visited Ural State University of Economics. The Head of Sri Lankan Mission was received by Rector of the University Prof. Yakov Silin. The Vice Rectors for Science, Academic and International Affairs were also present at the meeting.

On July 8, 2024 Ambassador P.M. Amza arrived to the city of Yekaterinburg to participate in the INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition and Forum.
The biggest industrial exhibition of Russia has started its 4-day run in the Urals' capital and gathered 33 foreign delegations and international organizations.

On the sidelines of the "Innoprom" International Industrial Forum Ambassador P.M. Amza, the Head of the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation, was interviewed by a local TV company of the Sverdlovks region.

Ambassador Amza, joined by Hony Consul of Sri Lanka in Yekaterinburg Mr. Vladimir Smirnov, toured around the Innoprom Exhibition area and explored business opportunities with reputed companies such as Rosatom and Sinara.
