At the invitation of the faction of the Communist Party in the Moscow City Duma, on 29 January 2024 seven Sri Lankan students of the Moscow Aviation Institute and the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia visited the Moscow Parliament.

In the framework of a short-term training of the students of the Homagama Mahinda Rajapaksa College in the International School Interdom, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia organized a number of visits for the College representatives to educational establishments of Moscow.
On 31 January 2024 Mr. G. D. Sarath Bandu Gunasekara, Principal of the College, and Ms. Ishangani K. Elamaldeniya, teacher, accompanied by Mr. Chamila Jayarathna, Minister of the Embassy (Education and Economic Affairs), visited the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) and the Pokrovsky Quarter School.

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia presents the art and culture of Sri Lanka at an Arts Exhibition Art Mir in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. The Exhibition will be open for the general public at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair from 27 January to 4 February 2024.
