In line with the visit of Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia, a Cultural Exhibition Tales of Sri Lanka was opened in the city of Cheboksary on 27 March 2024 on the platform of the Museum of Chuvash Embroidery.
Flower laying ceremony in memory of the Crocus City Hall victims

In memory of the victims of the horrifying act of terror in the Crocus City Hall, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow laid flowers at an improvised memorial at the site of the tragedy on March 30, 2024. More than 130 diplomatic missions took part in the mourning ceremony.
Our hearts and thoughts are with the relatives and friends of the victims, and our prayers are for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Sri Lanka strongly condemns the dastardly terrorist attack which occurred at the Crocus City shopping center in Moscow, Russia on 22 March 2024 causing tragic loss of civilian lives and injury. Such cowardly acts of violence against civilians are abhorrent and have no place in civilized society.
