01 July 2021 Prof. M. D. Lamawansa, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, hosted a dinner to a number of representatives of cultural and educational institutions of Russia, with whom the Embassy has been working closely lately and is planning new projects in the near future.

In the framework of the visit to the XI INNOPROM industrial trade fair which was held from 5-8 July 2021, in Ekaterinburg, the Sri Lankan delegation headed by H.E. Prof. M.D. Lamawansa, Ambassador of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation accompanied by Ms. Thavishya Mullegamgoda, first secretary (Commercial) and Ms. Olessya Romanova, interpreter of Sri Lanka Embassy in Russia met Hon. Vasilii Kozlov, Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Region of Russian Federation on 07th July 2021 in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

H.E. Prof. M.D. Lamawansa, Ambassador of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation together with Ms. Thavishya Mullegamgoda, first secretary (Commercial) and Ms. Olessya Romanova, interpreter of Sri Lanka Embassy in Russia met the president, Mr. Andrey Besedin, vice-president, Mr. Kozlov Mikhail and few other representatives of the Ural Chamber of Commerce & Industry on 07th July 2021 at the premises of the Ural Chamber in Ekaterinburg, Russia.
