Vladimir State University holds talks with University of Kelaniya and Rajarata University
At the request of the Vladimir State University, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia organized an introductory online meeting for its representatives with the University of Kelaniya and the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.
Prof. Aleksei Aleksandrovich Panfilov, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities of the Vladimir State University, warmly greeted Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, who has recently visited the University.

On 06 December 2022, an introductory meeting was held between the Vladimir Branch of the Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), University of Vavuniya, Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka and Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka. The meeting came as a follow-up to the visit of Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation to Vladimir region.
Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Saint Petersburg presents exhibit items to Kunstkamera Museum
On 06 December 2022, in the framework of the events dedicated to celebration of the anniversary of the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (Kunstkamera) in Saint Petersburg, a special ceremony was arranged, in the course of which Mr. Vagram Zakharyan, Honorary Consul of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Northwestern Federal District of the Russian Federation, presented to the Museum a number of exhibit items on behalf of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia.

Russian Federation becomes the most prominent tourist traffic source of Sri Lanka
Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow is pleased to announce that in terms of the statistics pertaining to tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka in November 2022, the Russian Federation has become the number one tourist traffic source of Sri Lanka.
According to the tourism sector statistics sources of Sri Lanka, in the month of November 2022, tourist arrivals from the Russian Federation accounted for 13,820, which constituted 23% contribution to the total number of 59,759 tourist arrivals.
