On 13 March 2023 Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, visited the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation to meet Hon. Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of Russia. The parties noted that the decades of bilateral cooperation were characterized by mutual understanding and the desire to strengthen cooperation.
